The Vixen VMC260L is a portable 10.23″ modified Cassegrain that is only 20″ long and weighs just 22 lbs. The VMC260L has no corrector plate to collect dew, and the meniscus lens offers a large corrected field. It is great for astro-imaging. This model of the VMC260L comes with a Vixen Atlux-style mounting rail, but no other accessories. Like the popular Schmidt-Cassegrain, the Vixen VMC260L is a true all purpose telescope. Despite its long focal length, the tube is only about 50cm (20″) long. As a result the instrument is very portable.
With its large aperture of 260mm the Vixen VMC200L collects enough light for serious visual and photographical applications of both the planets and the deep sky.
